Everyone here knows the routine. You ask around, someone knows a guy, the guy comes out and puts something in. Maybe it's the right system. Maybe it's the right system installed badly. Either way, eighteen months later a filter needs changing and nobody can remember his name.
That's not a plumbing problem. It's the reason people here give up and go back to buying garrafones.
We started Baja Water Systems to be the company that's still there in eighteen months.
Water here is not one problem
Between Tijuana and Ensenada you'll find hard water that ruins a water heater in three years, sediment that arrives with every pipa delivery, salt intrusion in the coastal wells, and neighbourhoods where the pila sits full for a week between deliveries.
Two houses on the same street can need completely different systems. Which is why we don't sell from a catalogue.
We measure your water before we quote it. Free, at your house or your business, before any money is discussed. If the number says you don't need what you asked for, we tell you.
Who you're dealing with
Edgar grew up around this. His family has worked for CESPT for years, so what comes out of the municipal system, and why it varies the way it does, isn't something he had to learn from a manual.
Fernanda runs logistics, which in Baja is most of the job. Parts held locally, on the right side of the border, so a service call doesn't become a three-week wait.
Clivia handles import and export. Every system we install crosses a border to get here, legally and with its warranty intact.
Scott has spent his career in business and marketing and has been in Baja almost ten years. Long enough to have had the water problems himself, and to have been let down by the guy who knew a guy. He runs business and strategy for Baja Water Systems.
What we actually do
Test first. TDS, hardness, and what your storage is doing to the water after it arrives. Free, and before quoting rather than after.
Install it ourselves. Our own people, connecting the supply, the drain and the tank. Not a subcontractor we found for the day.
Service it on a schedule. Filters have dates. We keep them, we hold the parts in Baja, and you call the same company that put the system in.

Not in our area? We're often asked to ship elsewhere in Baja, and we do. You'll just need a local plumber to install it.
