When your water has a sulfur smell, a metallic taste, or you suspect chloramines rather than simple chlorine — the Good system is not enough. The BWS Whole House Better system adds GAC and KDF-55 media to the filtration sequence, specifically targeting the contaminants that standard carbon alone cannot handle.

This system includes three items:

• iSpring WCB32C-GAC 3-Stage Whole House Filter with GAC + KDF — The same large-capacity 4.5″ x 20″ housing format as the Good system, but with upgraded media. Stage 1 is a 5-micron sediment block removing particulates, rust, and sand. Stage 2 uses granular activated carbon (GAC) which has significantly more surface area than carbon block — it is particularly effective at removing chloramines (the disinfectant used by most Mexican municipal water systems), pesticides, herbicides, VOCs, and general chemical contamination. Stage 3 uses KDF-55 media — a high-purity copper-zinc alloy that removes dissolved heavy metals including lead, mercury, iron, and copper, and actively inhibits bacteria and algae growth within the filter housing. Full 1″ NPT ports, rated for homes up to 4 bathrooms.
• iSpring WSP50ARB Spin-Down Sediment Pre-Filter — Reusable stainless mesh pre-filter with auto-flush valve. Captures large particles and sediment before the main system. Standard for all Baja installations where sediment load is unpredictable. Extends the life of downstream filter cartridges significantly.
• iSpring UVF55FS 55W UV Ultraviolet Sterilizer — Installed after the carbon and KDF stages so water is clean when it reaches the UV chamber. 55-watt UV lamp destroys bacteria, viruses, and microorganisms without adding chemicals. NSF/ANSI 55 Class B certified, stainless steel chamber, smart flow sensor, 12 GPM rating. Annual lamp replacement recommended.

All three items are included. Installation is not included — add our Whole House Installation Service for professional installation in Rosarito / northern Baja. For purified drinking water, pair with a Reverse Osmosis system. For hard water scale, add a water softener upstream.

What this system does not address: The KDF stage inhibits heavy metals but does not remove them to drinking water standards. For drinking water heavy metal removal, add an RO system. This system also does not address water hardness or TDS.
